the 500 page book
We had a two-week timeframe to complete a book brimming with inspiration and stunning photography. This book served as the foundation for my Senior Studio Project, titled Slanted Editions. It challenged me to explore concepts of time, efficiency, and creativity, encouraging me to think outside the box and develop a unique thought process.
This project aimed to uncover my personal design voice and effectively communicate it to an audience. It served as a foundational step for the semester's journey, challenging us to create and design a minimum of 500 pages from scratch within a two-week timeframe. This intense process allowed for rapid development, planning, error correction, and discovery of my creative capabilities under time constraints. It marked my initial encounter with time as a critical variable in design.
At the semester's conclusion, our class collaborated with graduating seniors to showcase our 500-page books in their exhibition. In partnership with fellow designers Danille Simon, Evan Johnson, Grace Barbee, and Jenna Sparacio, we designed a takeaway for exhibition visitors.
This project not only enhanced my design skills but also fostered collaboration and public engagement in the design process.
